2024
- Shelby Van Pelt Remarkably Intelligent Creatures Highly Recommended
- Marion Todd Bridges to Burn Clare MacKay (8) Another great one
- Phil Ellwood All the Worst Humans: How I Made News for Dictators, Tycoons, and Politicians Interesting and awful. Ellwood turns his PR skills to ketamine as a finale.
- Alice Munro Lives of Girls and Women Never got Munro before but now I get it. Very engaging.
- Louise Penney The Madness of Crowds Gamache (17) Recommended
- Jane Urguhart In Winter I Get Up at Night Uruguhart does an excellent job of threading timelines throughout the novel. It’s something I often struggle with as a reader, but not this time. Highly recommended.
- Alice Munro The Love of a Good Woman I found most of the stories very compelling but felt I had missed the boat with others. May need to re-read some.

- Elly Griffiths Bleeding Heart Yard Good but not great mystery with a novel angle.

- Marion Todd A Blind Eye other Clare Mackay
novel - William Boyd The Romantic an epic life story really
draws you in. - Kingsley Amis The Green Man Worth reading.

2020
- Louise Penney The Hangman Gamache (2010) Unusually quick read for the Inspector Gamache Series. I guess it was intended as a resource for learn to read programs!
- Louise Penney Bury Your Dead Gamache (2010)
- Helen Humphries The Evening Chorus Great distraction from the start of the pandemic.
- Elizabeth Hay All His Life Took me to the city (NY) and to the country with very well detailed characters. Great character development in all main characters. Highly
Recommended - Louise Penney The Brutal Telling (2009)
2019
- Graham Greene A Gun for Sale Good reading although the
situation seems somewhat contrived. Keeps your interest. - Matt Lee and Ted Lee Hot Box An absolutely riveting account of the history of the New York catering business and the experience of the two authors working in it over a couple years. Very Highly Recommended (if you are interested in restaurants/catering)
-
Louise Penney The Cruelest Month Gamache (2008).
-
Tracey Lindberg Birdie Heart breaking and revealing.
